NeighborScapes’ relationships with local and state government are developing well, and by summer 2009 we intend to be significant participants in summer youth employment initiatives in the Chicago Southland.  Until then, however, we are running entirely on voluntary contributions and social enterprise revenues from our landscaping and snow removal operations.  We have no expenses for fundraising overhead – only the volunteer time of board members.  This means that any contribution you can make right now will be one of the most value-added charitable donations you make for a long time.
